When I first heard about the technique, it sounded too good to be true. Then I experienced it for myself. After tapping with him for just fifteen minutes, my fear was completely gone and stayed gone. Tapping combines acupressure techniques with psychology research on stress relief. It was hard for me to read this book. It was even harder for me to like it. You see, I recently wrote and published a book on tapping and weight loss too.
I was feeling pretty defensive and believed that the release of this book would have a negative impact on my book. So what did I do? I started tapping. Start tapping. Once I had tapped enough to feel comfortable that there is room enough in this world for two b Ok. Once I had tapped enough to feel comfortable that there is room enough in this world for two books on tapping and weight loss, I dove in.
You might even say that I devoured it. It is written in the same charismatic style that all of the materials from The Tapping Solution possess. It would be hard to resist smiling at the all-too-honest accounts of self doubt, overindulgence food and guilt , and insecurity that Jessica shares. I could relate. The tapping examples were fantastic, although I would have preferred a few more. The book design and page layout are enviable. The quotes were inspirational and the stories of real women and their struggles were motivational.
If there are any negatives and I am not sure that there are one would be the title. There are so many words on the cover that it was difficult to know what the title really was without turning to the copyright page. Also, the topic of self-sabotage or psychological reversal was not highlighted as much as I might have expected given the type of challenge being addressed.
Will I read it again? Will I recommend it to others? The book is attractive, informative, inspirational, and potentially life-changing.

And sigh. He also has a DVD by the same name. I started with the DVD which followed 10 totally different people with totally different complaints through the process so you could see how it worked. I then followed with the book just to get more details and the scientific notation of studies. I admit that I feel silly doing this - I loathe anything that requires verbal affirmations - but as a life long sufferer of panic disorder I have a rule that I must at least try anything new that comes along.
I do have to say after 1 week of tapping I feel less panic so. Mar 10, Dona rated it it was amazing. This book was picked up during a browsing session at my library. That being said, my life long quest to control my weight made the subject matter interesting. WOW - I was amazed. Do I feel a little silly doing my tapping exercises?
Do I feel better by doing them? I have the DVD and I learned lots from it. Tapping is a great technique that you can use anywhere. I have seen so many people lately using it on the airports or getting off a long flight for jetlag symptoms. Thanks for this video Gabby. Your enthusiasm for it makes me want to try again, this time with a more open heart.
Amazing, thanks for sharing Gabby! I learned about tapping through my life coach a few years ago but forgot how powerful it is when put into practice. Glad you enjoyed that one as much as I did, Cip. Sadly, the guy collapsed and died on stage a few years ago. I love Tapping. I have used it before when I was feeling stress and overwhelmed and it definitely made a difference. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks so much for your girl power! Thanks lady!! Love you! Bless you! My self-pity is changing to self-determination. Gabby, I am so excited that you are into E. I practice it often and love it! I want to offer you a suggestion for your next tapping video. I look forward to the next one! EFT tapping has rocked my world and my personal healing recently as well.
Just a couple of things, especially for those just being introduced to this method — a couple of your points are a LITTLE off from where Nick places them — most notably the collarbone, which is supposed to be both hands four fingers on each an inch or so below both collarbones — not in the center. Thanks for continuing to introduce us to such miraculous stuff! Brad Yates is Great. I agree! Love this!! To view the trailer for the film, press play below:. Fred Gallo Ph.

That generosity, however, did not include a license to change it. As human nature unfolded, however, enthusiastic people filtered EFT through their own belief systems and, as a result, changed it and recreated EFT in their own images.

Where tapping can be effective with depression besides releasing the stress around it and whatever the thinking patterns are is that the physical component of tapping is an energizing process. Depression tends to be a low energy process and the tapping in and of itself can start to unlock like okay, I feel better.
We just start building a little bit of hope. I have hope. Look, exercise is probably the best cure for depression out there. I think it just begins to unlock it. Ari Whitten: Absolutely. Who here is in physical pain? Never met them. We talk and we tap on pain relief and time and again people get results.
The guy sits down in front of me. I was also a little nervous because guys tend to be emotionally closed up. This guy was just like his friend working in the other room. Talking about the placebo effect, right, whether it plays in. He came in having no idea who I was, this, that and the other.
He had a stiff neck. How much does it hurt? Really limited range of motion. We do the tapping. I realize that this was happening. I need some more time than the 10 minutes I have with him on a podcast. Maybe if I had an hour to get a little rapport and go deeper.
He goes whomp, whomp, back and forth. What happened in that moment? Ari Whitten: Real quick for people listening to this, not watching this video, basically what Nick just showed is the difference between when the guy was initially in pain he could barely move his neck.
He could barely twist from side to side. Then after the tapping, his range of motion dramatically improved, which is generally a range of motion correlates very well to the degree of pain and restriction in the area. We did the tapping. He was accessing the emotions because I was telling him about the stress and this, that and the other. He was doing his own work. I feel too vulnerable to share. They can just think it in their mind, go through the tapping process, and begin to unlock it.
